CHAPTER 8: WILLIAM FADEN'S MAP OF HAPPING DATED 1797.

In August 1797, William Faden published the first comprehensive map of Norfolk that included Happing (1). The map is not completely to scale (although it is roughly correct) and the numbers along the coast by Horsey and Waxham refer to recent breaches within the sand dunes.
