Notes :

The total population of Brumstead in 1881 was 95. In 1875 major restoration work took place on the church at a cost of £500 (01) 
and George Durrant gave £ 110 for a new east window (02). In 1880 the patron of the church was the Earl of Abergavenny (03).
In 1874 Disraeli becomes prime minister, in 1876 Queen Victoria become empress of India plus the plimsoll line is introduced and in
1878 Gilbert and Sullivan's HMS Pinafore is produced plus Swan demonstrates the electric light bulb (04). In 1880 Gladstone becomes
prime minister and in 1881 Disraeli dies plus the first Boar war starts (04).
