The 1841 Census

Map of Brumstead at the time of the 1841 census (based upon the 1837 O.S.map). The numbers represent dwellings and the letters represent other buildings. The following has been interpolated from the 1841 census return (23 April) for Brumstead, the 1842 Tithe map plus documents and White's directory of Norfolk dated 1845. It must be noted that due to the difference of a year between the Tithe map and Census, one or more of the locations shown on the map maybe incorrect due to families having moved in the intervening period. References have been given to other sources used.
